Notes:-Boxing day canal walk. Needed this walk. Lovely clear blue skies but not too cold. Had Xmas day yesterday, lovely time opening the presents, only to be spoiled by a silly argument between Tom and Sarah as I was serving up dinner. Wont be doing Xmas dinner again…neither of them want to sit at the table so wont bother again. Had a lovely time with Sarah on Xmas eve in Atherstone with a trip around a few pubs. Tom dropped us off and picked us up. Harry has been really ill with a nasty virus which caused secondary infection. Couldnt go to Tims wedding on Monday last week as he was so bad. Sarah went and I was going to follow on the train. He had antibiotics from GP but what ever it was caused serious muscle pain. We were up with him on Sunday and Monday night. Thought id get to the wedding but he was really bad Monday night. Harry and I took the van out for a spin today, thats one way to bring a smile to the face. Took it up the m42, southbound closed as they install a HS2 bridge. Van still stalling once engine is warm so wanted to see if its a vacuum leak. After about half an hour of driving it seemed fine so I am thinking it’s a points or ignition issue. Cant wait for the summer and some camping in the van. Also had a lovely FaceTime call from Sis who was at Marks for Boxing Day dinner. Had a lovely chat with Sis, Mark and Mum. Mum was on form but she is really struggling, definitely worse after her stroke. In the past few weeks we have tried everything we can to get her some help. She is being re assessed this week for capacity. Might know more when we go up on New Years Day.
