Notes:-DofE Ride 1 with Harry.. This was a training run to get Harry up to riding the Oron on the Hill loop. He has to show progression hence the short ride, he needs to do 12 weeks to gain his Silver DofE. Came back from Mums yeaterday, another hard few days. Upset Fran after she texted to say Mum had fallen again on one of the woody walks they do. Suggested we need to think about where we walk with Mum given how unsteady she is on her feet. Got a diatribe about walking the dogs and how Fran cant cope... and how unfair it was to suggest not walking the dogs in the fucking woods..Sis sided with Fran as she always seems to do now. Had to apologise. Mum seems to be taking to the carers although complains about not needing them after they have left. Spoke to one of the carers Pauleen about what Fran had said about telling them to piss off and refusing help last week, that turned out to be rubbish. Anyway we had a nice day on Tuesday with a trip to Hexham with Mum. Also fitted a keysafe, got some new keys cut and bought a meds tin for when the carers have authorisation to give mum hed medication, thats the next battle. Still lots of takl about Bramble Court between Sis and Fran with them both suggesting taking mum for a visit. I said this is not a good idea right now as Mums having to accept the carers and losing her driving licence, why take her to look at a care home. They dont understand that home care is currently the best thing for mum right now. Fran suggested showing Mum Bramble Court would incentivise Mum to be more willing to work with the carers... which shows some stupidity and cruelty I think...
