Notes:-Talkin Tarn with Mum, Sis and Mark. Drove up to Mums Friday night and stayed at Marks. Had a few drinks with Mark in his downstairs 1970s Livingroom listening to LPs. Stressful friday, call with Hilary to discuss secure data environment band 8D role. Would have jumped at this chance a few years back but now all of my instincts just say its not for me at this time. Its 12 months working in a politically challenging area in a technical area I have no experience of. Although the argument is I have the transferable skills. Thought I would get some time to think it over this weekend but its been a really challenging time with poor mum. Mark and I did some jobs in the house, took Mum to Carlisle to get a new roller blind for the kitchen and glass for the fire door plus new kitchen bin. Did lots of cleaning. Sarah came over on Saturday and we sorted the bank and various bits including speaking to the pharmacy again about delivery of meds. Mum was running low and we were worried that the meds had been delivered and mum had hidden them. Luckily they were ready to collect and due to be delivered on Wednesday so we took them and I loaded the meds box. Speaking to Pauleen the carer we also discovered Mum was frantic last week about Ross which was awful to hear... Mum had texted Fran to say she should keep Ross with Blue and I checked her phone to see what messages she was sending. So sad... its a shame there was no other options to keep him with mum for a period of time. But the conflict with Fran is just beyond resolution. All in all Mum was quite good and we went for a meal at the blacksmiths. On Monday we took Mum to see Bramble Court which would be perfect but Mum wasnt having any of it. Lovely flat overlooking beautiful gardens, right in the centre of Brampton and within earshot of st martins bells. But she just doenst want it. We had a discussion about what she wants and future plans and she just wants to stay at home, doesnt want to consider any other options but complains about the carers so its very frustrating . Interesting she talked a lot about Gran and how hard it was when she had to go into Green Lane. Its the same situation here, Mums going to leave the awful decisions to us so we still dont have alternative options Mum would accept.
