Notes:-Tried for a longer version of my Market Bosworth route. Had roadworks around Norton Juxta Twycross and couldnt get up to No Mans Heath from Austry. Lovely day but cold with gray skies, still doesnt feel like summer. Harry in the middle of his GCSEs and Tom working at a bee farm near Planters. Sarah got a 20 year NHS service award yesterday so very proud of her. hayfever pretty bad over past few days. I spent much of the morning on the van radio yesterday. It kept switching on and off and flippong between radio and CD plus the driver side speaker stopped working. I was thinking the head unit was bust but also knew the wiring was a mess. So got the soldering iron out, pulled the radio out of the dash and worked my way around each of the wires. Some were just taped together, others used conectors. I soldered and heat wrapped all of the connections. Found some of mine werent well connected and the live feed also wasnt a good connection. Also possibel some bared wires were touching. Finised the soldering and rebooted the radio and it worked, even the SD card worked properly. Suspect the live feed connection was damaged so the radio wasnt getting enough voltage. Another no cost job done.
