Notes:-Dropped Harry at guitar. This was his leavers day from school so he went dressed in the Scream outfit along with his mates. Nice walk in the rain reflecting on a truly awful week... Got back from Mums yesterday where I had been helping her with the endoscopy appointment on wedensday. Drove up on Sunday night ... to note hayfever was awful - even did a covid test as I thought knowing my luck I had got it again. Had to give Mum a restricted diet and some bowel prep medication which was a challenge. Had to hide the food over at Marks as she could only have black tea, water or clear soup on tuesday. Mark and I took Mum and she signed the consent form with us in the reception and they took her through to get changed. Couldnt go in with mum so we went and got a coffee. When we got back the nurse came out and said they did not recommend doing the procedure. Mum because confused in the clinic and the doctor was not happy to continue- she felt that mum was not fully aware of what was going to happen and therefore was not consenting. So she stopped before giving mum the sedation. The doctor spoke to us and said she would check the CT scan and see if there was anything obvious. She said she would speak to the consultant and see if he still thinks mum needs the investigations given the CT as clear and her pain has gone. She suggested if mum needs the endoscope/ colonoscopy then they would bring her in the day before and admit her rather than doing it at home. We woudl need a best interests meeting first with the consultant before any further action. Bit of a waste of time but at least we know the CT was clear. Took mum for some food and she was much happier but she got very angry with us in the evening. She started getting angry about the carers and whatever Mark and I said just seemed to get her angrier...never seen her like this but this is what she has been like with Mark, Sarah also had it when she came over to paing mums bedroom. She eventually calmed down and apologised, seemed like old mum was back and we both gave her a big hug. Also didnt see of hear much from Fran other than a quick vist on Tuesday and bumping into her at Milton. She has also left that awful WhatsApp group. Managed with some distraction to apply for an NHSE job on Tuesday. This was for a clinical innovation lead covering the new hospital programme. Lets see if I get anywhere with that... Also shoking June milage and hardly any cycling, just dont seem to have time to go out.
