Notes:-Blaven…. the nemesis which eluded us last year. Speaking to Sas every night this week, she gave us weather updates so we knew this was probably the best day to climb. Started out from the car park with the mountain partly covered in clouds. Plan was to climb the shoulder and see what the conditions were like before going further. Had lunch on the shoulder and could see the top was clear so we climbed the none existent path through boulders and scree to the top. Some pretty hairy conditions under foot. No way could we have attempted this on poor weather. Mark knows his way around so he led with Harry most of the way up. Got to the lower summit with amazing views then traversed the gully to the higher peak at 3111ft. Stunning views and a real achievement for us to bag this mountain. We then headed down the other shoulder which seems to be the most well trodden route. Another fantastic day.
