Notes:-Amazing couple of days with Sarah. Drove to Llanberis on friday and stayed in a nice little B and B at the far end of the town. Had a meal on friday night and then got set for the climb the following morning. Met up with Matt, Tash and the Warriors group then set off up the Llanberis path. The weather was pretty bad from the start and I was a little worried that this might force us to turn back. Did the steep road climb to the start of the mountain path with the rain slowing a bit. Wind and rain kicked in as we climbed towards the mid point cafe which was closed due to the weather. I thought Sas might want to turn back at this point but she soldiered on. We then got to the railway bridge where the path turns to the shoulder of Snowdon. Wind was 50 mph plus and gusts made it hard to stand up. Matt said we should only continue if we wanted too but conditions werent going to improve and the cafe at the top was closed so no chance of shelter at the top. I honestly thought Sas might want call it a day. I said we were about two thirds up the mountain, she wanted to carry on after we got into some drier clothes. I was worried that she still needed enough energy in the tank to get down. The rain was soaking but the wind chill was mild so we carried on up to the top steadily. At about 12 we reached the summit and I was so proud of Sas. We took this photo but didnt hang around. Matt saw us at the top as he was checking everyone was ok. Headed back down steady and the sun came out for the last mile or two. Got back to the b and b totally soaked. Had an amazing night with pizza and then up to meet some of the warriors at their hotel. Headed back to the b and b for a brilliant night. So proud of Sarah go climbing the 3,148 ft in such challenging conditions.
