Notes:-Walk to Warton in the dark, Harry at guitar. Mum had another TIA 05/01/24. Sis and Mark took her to Cumberland infirmary after Helen found mum at the bottom of the lane. Ring doorbell footage shows mum looking very wobbly around 5.15 entering the front door. Hospital confirmed TIA but mum seems ok. Spoke to mum before sis arrived and she sounded ok and was with Mark. I didnt go up as mum seemed ok on Saturday. Had a really bizarre and quite upsetting call from Sarah on Sunday morning. She said that Helen and Graham had been telling mark it was time to put mum in a home, I said thats not something they should be saying to mark which triggered a strange, heated discussion with Sarah…Sarah questioned me on my views about mum staying at home. She seemed to be suggesting that I was responsible for keeping mum at home and implying I was holding back the decision to move mum into a care home. She also said Helen and Graham should report their concerns to social care as a safeguarding. That was Fran speaking I think… then Sarah started questioning what we had seen on the ring camera. We didnt see Helen returning with mum as Fran had told her. Its possible the camera didnt pick this up… The footage I saw was of mum not looking well. But nothing showing mum being helped back to Skuds with Helen. Had quite a heated call with Sarah…. She doesnt understand that you cant just send mum to a care home because she is struggling at home and being a nuisance to the neighbours. Sarah said it was a massive stress for Mark, which I agree it is but it doesnt change the reality of the situation. She pushed me on my opinion on mum going into care and I said that I personally dont think mum being at home is in her best interests.. however thats not up to me to decide. Honestly Sarah has been absent from much of the situation with Mum, cant seem to get across to her that its not simply a question of rocking up to a care home with mum and that will solve the problem. She actually said this was up to me which was astonishing. Sarah suggested restbite, which ive always said might help, she then said we could do that and then just leave mum there…. WTF… Its not our decision to make, at least not yet on permanently moving mum into care. My Sarah thinks sis expects me to lead on this and she might be getting pressure from someone else to sort it.
