Notes:-Well thats probably it for 2024. What a year…and what a Xmas… Got back from Brampton yesterday, boys stayed at Marks and Sas and I in the Howard Arms. After Mums fall on Boxing Day night we had another emergency with a call from PL at 1am on Saturday morning. They called an ambulance as mum had very high heart rate and low BP. By the time we got there the paramedic was satisfied mum was ok to stay in PL. We had to get a taxi ti the hospital as initially PL were thinking she would need to go in. So sas, Mark and I got in the only taxi we could book. Got to the hospital only to find the paramedic was happy for mum to stay in PL. Had to call the taxi back then got to PL. Paramedics spoke to us and Mum was supposedly asleep but then emerged from her room asking what all the fuss was about 😂. Settled mum down and got a taxi back to Brampton, got to bed around 4am. Saw mum on Saturday afternoon and she was much better but very agitated. Definitely something going on. We also finished clearing Skuds with a final trip to the tip with Marks van. I removed the ring cameras and the router and did one last look around with Sas, Mark and the boys. Really sad to think this might be the last time we are in Skuds. Happy its going to a young family who can breathe new life into the house. Looking back on previous entries on here there has been a depressing theme of dread for the year ahead, ive rarely been wrong and I expect 2025 to be no different, I know its going to be a tough year with things I know about plus nasty surprises… but just got to focus on all the things we have to look forward too. Also some big family changes with Haz getting his A levels and heading to uni. Tom getting his degree and possibly doing an MA. Could be quite a lot of change for all of us. Ive added a 1000 mile goal which is more realistic and I hope to hit that and my weight loss goal of another 1 stone. If I can do that and remain sane then thats something.
