Notes:-Walk back from Wellington House. Another difficult day in the office. Team meeting with Sarah and Eamonn Sullivan where we were told the news that the Innovation Hub was being disbanded. Not surprising given the changes to the programme but its always innovation and research which gets the cut. The research leads will go into the workstreams and the knowledge management team will be absorbed by Clinical. It felt like everyone else in the room with the exception of us research leads already knew what was going on. We had already figured it out. Felt sorry for Sarah as it looks like her contract will not be renewed and the post will not be filled. Met up with Christina for a coffee before walking back She said they thing there will be further job losses in NHSE. After leaving my meeting with Christina I bumped into Eammon Gorman and we both walked back up towards Euston. He said he knew something was happening but not the specifics. Fun times ahead.... In other fun news the outcome of my 24 hour BP monitor on Monday and Tuesday was I need medication for high BP. GP prescribed Amlodipine from immediate effect. Results show its high even at night so its not just stress and needs treating.
