Notes:-Interesting couple of days. Down yesterday for meetings in wellington house with final team lunch with Sarah. Big announcement yesterday about deeper cuts to NHSE and a further 50 percentage job cuts. Staff obviously a bit stunned. Did the lunch with Sarah which was ok but a bit weird. Went out for drinks after work with Melanie, Anne and Waiss to decompress…. Had a laugh and opportunity to discuss the madness. Stayed overnight so I was in the office for a meeting with Michael Barker who is supposed to be the director responsible for innovation. Halfway through the informal meeting we had in the basement cafe Kitty Dimbleby came over to us looking quite shaken. She said the PM has just announced the abolition of NHSE… Cuts also extend to ICBs so will affect Sas. Also Mums birthday today, she is 78. Hope the flowers and chocolates we sent get to her.
