Notes:-Stunning couple of days in Cardiff to see Oasis. Sas got the tickets last July when we were in Falmouth see activity 1244. Stayed at the Our Welsh campsite in Glynogwr, Blackmill, Bridgend. I drove the van down on Thursday afternoon, Sas and Haz followed later in the Yaris. We opted to camp due to the limited and really expensive hotel accommodation. Basically everything had gone as soon as the tickets started selling. Anything left was extortionate… Sas booked the Asda car park which was made available for the gig. Was a mile or so walk but really convenient as it meant we could get out of Cardiff much easier at the end. Amazing gig which kicked off with Cast - although I didnt think they had the best sound. Richard Ashcroft followed with The Verve hits which really hit the crowd going. Oasis came on and did a 2 hour set including rock and roll star, master plan, dont look back in anger and half the world away. They finished the encore with Wonderwall which was stunning. It was great to be at their first show and the energy and atmosphere in the stadium was electric. An experience to remember.
