Notes:-Evening walk avoiding the thunderstorms. Also caught up with Mark on the phone. Quite a busy day with meetings at work and in between Teams calls and thunderstorms I managed to get the kit dry from my Edale trip. Got back yesterday with a wet drive back through the Peak District. After Eds left on Saturday I had a chilled evening in the van reading my book and watching Netflix videos. Got up in the morning and made a bacon, sausage and egg breakfast on my trusty camping stove. Then packed up and got on the road. Bella was great climbing some of the steepest roads including the road up to Mam Tor. Also took a wrong turn in Buxton which lead me onto a steep single track road which Bella managed to climb with only a small amount of rear wheel spinning. 😵💫 filled up with E5 at the Morrisons in Buxton and then headed off in some quite wet weather. Absolutely no problems getting home although I may need to tighten up the nut on the drivers side wiper as it was making some inconvenient movement across the screen, sometimes dropping below the window rubber. Fantastic weekend and one to remember when times are hard. Its possible to have fun and forget about your trials and tribulations. Got to do more of this. Also to note the roofer Derek Read seems to have done a good job fixing the cladding on the rear dorma and the leak into the loft caused by the uncapped chimney which was also cracked. The thunderstorms and driving rain put it to the test. He also repointed and water sealed the brick work.
