Notes:-Christmas cake in the field with Mark, Sas the boys and Simba. Came up yesterday and stayed in a lovely flat Sas found on Booking.com its a 2 bed flat just above the kitchen showroom by the moot hall. Mark came over for dinner when we got to Brampton. Saw Mum this morning and she was in pretty good form, chatty and a bit more coherent. Seemed to remember everyone which was lovely. I honestly didnt think she would still be with us this year. Last Christmas was awful with Mum falling. In many ways she seems better than last year. Had a bit of stress this morning getting ready as we needed to get to mum in reasonable time but everyone was a bit slow. Got a bit frustrated so went for a walk to get out of the way. We did get a good hour with Mum which was probably enough. We also needed to squeeze a trip to the field before we lost the light. Got to the field in time for a decent walk around, beautiful weather and really atmospheric. Mark said he sometimes finds it sad coming up as he misses the time he had with Mum. We need to help him make some new memories so he can look forward to coming up. I also feel it and so does Sas and the boys. So many things we took for granted have changed in the last couple of years. Once we got back Mark and the boys had a Chinese at 41 while Sas and I had something a bit healthier in the flat. I then joined them for a few drinks and we watched the Shining again. Also, tooth seems to have finally healed so more or less back to normal 😂
