Notes:-Second part of my Alston loop ride training. This 20 mile section heads into Alston then over and down Hartside pass. The climb is pretty relentless and I’m sure will be much tougher when I actually do it. The downhill over Hartside will be fun to do. Better prepared for this turbo ride with new bar ends and sweat bands. Also used the Garmin Tracx mobile app which was much better than the crappy PC app. Just got a small screen to look at but everything worked so no stopping to puss about with IT or sweat towel… My aim is to do the final section then maybe do a couple of 25 rides before attempting the full 50 on the turbo in the next few weeks. The weather is frozen snow so no actual cycling so may as well train indoors as much as I can. Had a nice day yesterday with Sas taking Simba to Melton fur his trim. Also headed to Northampton to see Ady and go out for some dinner. Had a great evening although it clear Ady is really struggling with his health. Spent all day cleaning the house and shopping / getting ready for Harrys birthday.
