Notes:-Day in the London office and first one back from leave. Interesting workshop around the core innovation function. We must be 8 months into these discussions and no further forward lol. Also another development in the PoC work which is interesting. Spent some time with my director and he briefed me on a proposal to develop an funded PoC programme which will sit in our team rather than tech and data. We have had lots of false starts with this work with other parts of digital trying to initiate activity, usually bringing me in late in the day. Seems to be part of a restructure of work - my director wants it in our team under me. I wasnt involved in the paper as it was developed over last week. It looks good but frustrated that Im always brought in late. Given that Im the only member of staff to have delivered multiple trust funded pilots covering the IHCs it does make me tear my hair out... lets see where this goes. My director also said something interesting around his role and the plans to bring in a CCIO above him, which says a lot about the culture of side lining people in NHP.
