Notes:-Evening walk to Polesworth and back on canal. First day back after Easter, busy day. Spent much of this walk thinking about my job, never a good thing to do 😂 after a year from the innovation team being disbanded I still dont have a clear role and thats worrying me given the looming merger with DHSC. Feel like my role still doesnt fit the team and Im seeing more HDP people getting involved. Senior execs are making decisions on innovation strategy without involving me or asking me to lead work and then finding someone else has been tasked with doing it. Nearly 2 and a half years into the role and I dont see a clear way forward or a way out. Now Sarah is safe I wonder if it’s time for me to look for something else or just hang in and see what happens. Perhaps need to look seriously at roles in DHSC. Feel like if i hadnt already been made redundant I would have opted for VR this time. Got a big meeting on Wednesday in London which Im hoping will give some answers….
