Notes:-Pretty damn cold...lockdown no 3 week 2. Pressure easing at work, even with the high volumes of positive covid results out testing supplies strategy is holding the fort, basically we have enough tests to cover the demand. New technologies settling in and will be reprioratised next week so no new tech as the NHS has more than it can handle. P1 validation work also in hand as the new competition for new products is largely not needed, so a few tweaks but nothing major. Upshot is I can leave at the end of the month without causing any issues, they dont need to replace me. Had a call on Friday with Tony and no update on the restructure. He is still having problems getting it through UHB HR so usual nonsense. I have a real sense this will take months an may well fizzle out. Still not looking forward to returning but I have to. Also crap start to the new year with a big issue between Mum and Fran. Fran saw one of Mums notepads in which she had written her feelings about Fran. Pretty horrible reading for Fran.. Mum must of written it after an argument. Anyway spent much of Wednesday speaking to Sis and Fran to try and limit the damage. Hurtful for Fran but it seems to have brought it into the open. Sis went over on Wednesday night with Dave to talk to them both. Hope they can rebuild their realtionship. Mum seems to have lost her filter and tolerance which is part of the dementia. Anyway, I needed this ride as Im definitely piling on the pounds after xmas.
