Notes:-Afternoon ride while the weather is still ok. Harry back at school today so hopefully on our way back to normality. Nice ride, felt hard work but seemed to have some decent power on the climbs. Friday Turbo rides with Matt and Wayne may be helping. Just thinking about AHSN restructure and Im wondering if Tony may go or there has been a decision to appoint a proper CEO chief officer. This is how most AHSNs are structured. Given the number of WAF and HR approvals I have signed off recently it looks like the team under the directors is pretty well planned out and doesnt look very different. I think it could go one of two ways. Firstly and possibly most likely they will just alter my post and fill Lucy and Kates roles. This may be all Tony can get through Tim. Then some tweaking of reporting. This would be a shame and suggests that Im the problem, if this is the case then I need to think carefully about my response. The new enhanced COO role may equally absorb all of the reporting from heads and have an oversight of all programmes. Which again would not work and would be a nightmare if it also incudes opps. Alternative is more radical with an entirely new restructure of the top and new CEO and directors covering each major area. I dont think Tony would want the CEO role and I think from the odd thing he has said to me that he doesn't want to stay around for much longer. Told me hes looking forward to a rest once the next 2 year contract is done. I think a restructure of the top is whats actually needed but suspect it wont get the green light due to UHB politics and a worry about the sustainability of the AHSN. Lets see what happens.
