Notes:-Monday night ride, very overcast and grey but ideal temp as not too hot or muggy. Had some sad news yesterday about Jason Hilliard who passed away suddenly. He was a great guy and will miss mucking about with him and Chris when we were picking up the kids from scouts. Heart goes out to Lewis and his mum, horrible time for them. Good to get out on this ride to clear the head. Beginning to get a bit fed up with the politics of the needs assessment service. Today was particularly bad, feels quite petty given the real work I was doing with test and trace. I just want to get on with it rather than having to pander to a particular diatribes and procrastination. Again Tony doesnt seem to be standing up to it, Im not sure if he would have my back if I did. Need to remember its just a job and a temporary one at that. I started to reach for the NHS jobs search again earlier, no harm in looking..... Also to note hayfever is easing off. England also lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 final last night. Some pretty impressive football and a formidable England team led by Gareth Southgate, but the game was lost to penalties which are Englands achilleas heel. Hope its not another 55 years before England has another shot....
