Notes:-Had to ditch the PC screen and go out today. Stunning day, hot with blue skies and finally hit 1000 miles. Detour and slightly longer due to Dordon Hall lane closure, hopefully they are resurfacing it. Work a bit quiet at the moment, still finding it hard to get my enthusiasm up. Feel a bit more reassured after a couple of calls with Tony. Hit my 3 month mark on the 2nd September which should trigger the redundancy clock but he has assured UHB that there is still plenty of work and it will be reviewed again in December. They havent given me a written letter with formal end date which suits me fine. Boys back at school and college, Tom yesterday and Harry started year 10 today. I think they needed to get back...shall we say. Having some difficult times with poor Maisy who seems to have taken a turn for the worse. Took her to Rachels on Saturday and she refused to be groomed, very flat and lacking energy. Took her to the vets yesterday and they gave her a painkiller which seems to have helped, so will try oral painkillers and see how it goes. Dont think its going to be long before we have to make a hard choice. On happier news though we found a campervan. After looking at a couple last week including a wreck and a lovely 72 crossover dorma we found a solid vain in mid Wales, Sarah saw it on ebay. Took a drive out on Sunday, gave it a good lookover and test drive. Underneath looked good, no oil leaks and is started first time. Issue with the gear change being sorted by the garage. Its a 78 bay, possibly a Devon conversion with an immaculate interior. Its been a dream of mine for years especially through lockdown and I cant believe we actually own one. Had a lovely day with Sarah and we are hopefully going back later this week to pick it up. Looking forward to the 100 mile drive back.
